I picked flowers as the theme for our quilting project because of the universal qualities. Also I felt that materials with flowers would be easily accessible in both Ireland and America. Besides the theme and the size of the squares, we gave everyone complete freedom to do their square however they wanted. Afterwards my daughter noticed that the Irish picked more green and that Americans had more blue in their squares. Except for Michele, who had primarily orange, forming the bridge between countries. |
